After my manuscript went through two rounds of big-picture content edits and the rigor of line and copy edits, Maggie honed in on the tiniest details. She plucked out things that are so easily overlooked, offered suggestions for improvement and corrected the little things. She did it all in a timely manner, with caring and kindness too. My name is Maggie Smith-Weller.

As an avid reader, I aim to make editing and proofreading services affordable & accessible to self-published authors. I work with all genres of fiction. I graduated with my degree in Public Relations from Northern Kentucky University and I'm continuing to grow my editing and proofreading skills. I hope we get to connect!

I offer proofreading & editing services. I will edit or proofread a 1,000-word piece of writing free of charge, so we can see if we work well together.

Proofreading

Once a piece of writing has gone through the editing process, the work will be checked for spelling and grammatical correctness. Proofreading is the final step before a manuscript is finalized.

Editing

After an author completes a manuscript, a copy-edit and line-edit will be done to ensure consistency in the story. Feedback is provided on the story's plot and the manuscript as a whole.
